My home studio is modestly equipped. My main tools are the Tascam 38 and a Mackie 1604 board.

My favorite guitar lately is this old Stewart archtop I bought at a garage sale across the street for $3. I've put about $300 into it--Grover tuners and a lot of neck work mainly. The previous owner had tried to turn it into a dobro. I've tried to turn it into a Jazz guitar. You see it pictured here with a funky little pickup I took off of another $3-type guitar a long time ago. I have since put a Fishman peizo electric bridge on it and it sounds quite dandy through the Fender Reverb and the Matchless amp.

If you're interested in Stewart guitars, I invite you to check out John White's website.

One of my songs of the month, Funky Fender Twin, has a lead part recorded with this guitar.
