The sonnets were written between the summer of 1982 and the spring of 1984. They are presented in the order they were written. I've taken some liberties with the form, defining the sonnet broadly as a 14-line poem with some metric structure and, usually, some sort of rhyme scheme.

There are 72 poems in the series. Some of them consist of three to five individual sonnets.

Each Part is a single html file containing a dozen or so sonnets. The sequence of parts will be uploaded to the site serially. Once a month or so I will post another episode. Please bookmark this page and come back when you have some time to read the next installment.
