October, 1999: Zip Disk Shuffle. Wrote this earlier this year and recorded it the same day. Don't make me download a 10 meg file, man. Just zip over with a Zip disk.
November, 1999: Get Down The Road. Rockabilly kind of song from the Detour collection. Recorded in the early 90s in Bethel on the TASCAM 234 four-track cassette unit.
December, 1999: Travelin. Smooth country style. Recorded in the early 90s for the Son of the West collection. Song for the freeway.
January, 2000: That Boogie Thing. 12-bar shuffle. Electric guitar Instrumental. Bouncy bass strings. A Detour song. Recorded in 1990 on the Tascam 234. But it sounds like it was recorded at Sun Records. Blue Box.
February, 2000: Nevada Honey. A country song from the Son of the West collection. Acoustic guitars and some bottleneck licks. Blue Box.
March, 2000: Son of the West. A country-rock song. Describes the Western character. Blue Box.
April, 2000: I didn't get a Song of the Month up in April, had too much other stuff going on.
May, 2000: Badass Rig. Right off the Paris on the Kuskokwim CD. lyrics and a blue box.
June, 2000: Funky Fender Twin. A new Millenium recording. Musician's wife runs off with his best guitar and amp. blue box.
July, 2000: Sombrero. Texmex ode to a horse and a hat. If only Jerry Jeff woulda listened to the tape I sent him. We'd both have a hit. blue box.
September-October, 2000: Dead Man's Shoes. It rocks. It won honorable mention in the Billboard Song Contest in 1995. I got a t-shirt and a certificate. Go the blue box.
November, 2000: We Couldn't Make It. A slinky blueslike lament with a funky bass riff. blue box.
December, 2000: The Story of My Life. Asks the mid-tempo bluegrassy question: "Will the Story of My Life be fit to read?" blue box
